Amaretto Sour

In a twist on this classic, Amaretto—an Italian liqueur flavored with almonds and apricot stones—is a beautiful match with bourbon to create a fresh, crisp cocktail. The tart citrus and frothy egg white top it off for a perfect balance.

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 oz amaretto liqueur 
• 3/4 oz cask-proof bourbon
• 1 oz lemon juice, freshly squeezed
• 1 teaspoon simple syrup
• 1/2 ounce egg white

Directions

1. Shake all ingredients
2. Add ice to the shaker and shake again
3. Strain into rocks glass over fresh ice 
4. Garnish with a lemon twist, and two brandied cherries
